why do mussels have beards?

believe me..
they're there -_-

small so kinda hard to eat

only one of the four was decent enough to eat
rest were DARK and mucky looking
and tasted bitter like death

spicy chorizo, ortega chilis, jalapeno,
onions, jack and cheddar

diva omelette
artichoke hearts, feta, onions, spinach
w/ WHOLE cloves of sweet roasted garlic

chicken roma omelette
REALLY good sundried tomatoes, feta,
chicken and spinach

happy poo
this was 4 hours before i came home to find
that joey had chewed off its eyeballs
and mangled the shape so bad
that i had to just throw it out :(
