IF I WAS A BOY i would turn off my phone and eat

bar hayama
age dashi tofu was meh

bento lunch special was damn cute

some tasties off of their macrobiotic lunch plate
all these were kind of strangely sweet

the good stuff!
super fresh
yellowtail and salmon were both soooo good

almond custard
WHICH I HATE
but i have to admit this is cute
which got me to try to eat it anyway
lol

spicy tuna rolls
not bad at all
the tempura shrimp was also REALLY really good
they have a huge sake list
and the chillest looking fireplace patio set-up
have to DEFINITELY go back here

king's fish house
i think this is one of those places that has good days
or REALLY bad days
i don't know about their other locations
but oysters are always really decent at long beach one
i can never tell by looking at them if they're fresh or crappy
but they do always taste good here
the danish walnut salad is bomb
if only b/c you get a LARGE chunk of blue cheese
someone always orders fish
and every time but once
the fish has been good
also their sides..
the sauteed spinach always seems old
you know, like way too dark and smushy almost?
the mac n cheese is awesome
but when has anyone ever had bad restaurant mac n cheese?

la dijonaise cafe
the crappiest french onion soup would prob still be delicious to me
that being said, i liked it
but didn't think it was amazing or anything

fresh mozzarella sandwich
w/ basil, tomato, vinaigrette and prosciutto
i ended up eating just the insides
which were yum!
baguette was tasteless, dry and crumbly

raspberry tart and mousse
didn't get to try either of these
because i went for the chocolate eclair
WHICH SUCKED
was more like a dry, tasteless doughnut
filled w/ chocolate pudding
lol
should have swiped the tart while i had a chance!
(that's what she said ..?)

chabuya tokyo noodle bar
so glad i went back to this place!!
never enjoyed their hot ramen much
but all their other dishes i've tried so far are good
this age dashi tofu is the way i like it best
with way too much super garlic-y broth
and super sticky yet crunchy batter
SO GOOD

chinese bbq pork in a steamed bun
deconstructed char siu bau??
i like the sauce they use for these
a mini is 1 sammy
a full order is 2

sesame fried chicken
texture was PERFECT
it came out crazy hot and fresh too
all the green onion and lemon made it almost refreshing to eat
plus it wasn't overly salty

shrimp in steamed bun
they somehow stuff 4 or 5 giant shrimp in there
i think i prefer this over the bbq pork one
and i'm not a big shrimp fan usually

some standard green tea ice cream

charlie kabob
@ the west side pavillion mall food court
my co-workers and i have never eaten so fast!
chicken breast and ground sirloin combo
delicious in our starving states!!
i've only had falafel one other time
so i don't really know how to compare
but i thought it was bomb
